Abandoned WASDEN HOUSE, Brooks County, Georgia.
Built in 1875 and abandoned 1937.
This home sits on the edge of town and has been empty for years. It’s a home with a great deal of interest in it due to it’s imposing size on an open field, and due to it being a the site of a double murder.
Jamie Snow Branch, and her husband, Lee Branch, were murdered by her brother Livingston Snow on December 17, 1937. The brother discovered that they were planning to commit him to an insane asylum, so he killed them both. The house has been vacant since then.
I can not find anything about anyone restoring this home, but it appears that someone is maintaining the house as it is.
