Dating from the 14th century, it occupies number 10 rue de Belvezet, at the corner of Passage de l’Hospice. It is renowned for being one of the oldest houses in the Aveyron department. We will especially notice its half-timbered and partly cob walls, its entrance accessible by a few steps and sheltered under an overhang of the floor, its corbels on both levels, the small dimensions of its openings including an oval (south wall) and a mullioned (north wall). Jeanne’s house hosts medieval events in July and August. It opens its doors to you on this occasion.
In May 2017, an American tourist posted a photo of the house on social media. The photo was then relayed more than 1.7 million times in 2 days: Maison de Jeanne has since created a buzz around the world!
